Aggstein

On Thursday our games were postponed due to the heavy rain from the few days before. However, we all woke up early and started to drive to the field before they called and told us that we could not play. It was also a holiday so no one was working and none of the stores were open. Karin, Sabine, Jamie and I decided to go hiking to some really cool ruins. Burguine Aggstein is one of my favorite places in Austria. Its atop a forest covered hill overlooking the Danube river. The view is fantastic and the old castle is great. It was the first time for Sabine and Jamie (American player) to go there and they had a great time taking lots of pictures along with me.

The hike was really fun. We started at Maria Landegg a famous church and hiked 1 hour to Aggstein. Each way was funny to walk because of the mud, funny stories and interesting questions. We were all ready for naps after the 1 hour walk back. It was a nice day to be outside and to brush up on some history up close and personal.
